GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
SALE, PURCHASE AND CONSIGNMENT OF ITEMS
MAZZAROTI SECOND LIFE
CHAPTER I — SCOPE AND GENERAL PRINCIPLES
- Purpose
These terms and conditions govern the sale, purchase and consignment of second-hand luxury and premium items through Mazzaroti Second Life and apply to all sales channels (website, physical store, social media, WhatsApp or direct contact).
- Curation and Acceptance
Mazzaroti operates based on a rigorous curation process and reserves the right to accept or reject items depending on brand, condition, authenticity, market demand and consistency with the brand’s positioning.
CHAPTER II — SALES MODELS
- Available Models
Mazzaroti offers three sales models:
3.1 Crédit+ (sale with credit for future purchases)
Sale of the item to Mazzaroti with payment in store credit to be used on a future purchase, with added value.
3.2 Consign (sale by consignment)
Delivery of the item to Mazzaroti for sale during a defined period, with ownership remaining with the seller until the sale is completed.
3.3 Cash Now (direct sale to Mazzaroti)
Immediate sale of the item to Mazzaroti, with direct payment and no consignment.
CHAPTER III — DELIVERY AND EVALUATION OF ITEMS
- Sales Proposal
The seller must submit their proposal to Mazzaroti by email or WhatsApp, indicating the items they wish to sell and the preferred sales model (Crédit+, Consign or Cash Now).
Mazzaroti reserves the right, after evaluating the items, not to accept the initially requested sales model and may propose an alternative model, depending on the type of item, market demand, condition or current commercial strategy.
Accordingly, the seller may request, for example, Cash Now, and Mazzaroti may inform that, at that moment, the item is only accepted through Crédit+, Consign, or exclusively through a single available model.
- Item Collection
Free collection for 10 or more items within mainland Portugal;
All other situations require prior evaluation by Mazzaroti.
CHAPTER IV — BRANDS, QUALITY AND CONDITION
- Accepted Brands
Mazzaroti preferably accepts items from luxury and premium brands, organized by category as listed below.
6.1 Clothing — Luxury
Chanel, Dior, Hermès, Louis Vuitton, Valentino, Gucci, Prada, Saint Laurent (YSL), Givenchy, Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen, Versace, Celine, Loewe, Alaïa, Tom Ford, Balmain, Maison Margiela, The Row, Brunello Cucinelli, Burberry, Carolina Herrera, Chloé, Christian Lacroix, Dolce & Gabbana, Etro, Miu Miu, Roberto Cavalli, Oscar de la Renta, Elie Saab, Lanvin, Mugler, Erdem, Schiaparelli, Moncler.
6.2 Clothing — Premium
Isabel Marant & Isabel Marant Étoile, Maje, Sandro, Zadig & Voltaire, The Kooples, Stella McCartney, Acne Studios, Off-White, Jacquemus, A.P.C., See by Chloé, Ganni, Victoria Beckham, Joseph, Max Mara, All Saints, Ba&sh, By Malene Birger, Diane von Furstenberg, Equipment, Helmut Lang, Marc Jacobs, Marni, Red Valentino, Theory, Vanessa Bruno, Vince, Zimmermann, Rag & Bone, Reformation, Self-Portrait, Patou, Rotate Birger Christensen, Nili Lotan, LoveShackFancy, Anine Bing, Sézane.
6.3 Footwear — Luxury
Chanel, Dior, Hermès, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Prada, Saint Laurent (YSL), Manolo Blahnik, Christian Louboutin, Jimmy Choo, Gianvito Rossi, Aquazzura, Roger Vivier, Bottega Veneta, Fendi, Alaïa, Alexander McQueen, Sergio Rossi.
6.4 Footwear — Premium
Stuart Weitzman, Hogan, Tod’s, Clergerie, Repetto, Veja, Golden Goose.
6.5 Handbags — Luxury
Hermès, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Dior, Gucci, Fendi, Celine, Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga, Loewe, Saint Laurent (YSL), Goyard, Prada, Miu Miu.
6.6 Handbags — Premium
Coach, Kate Spade New York, Furla, Longchamp, Marc Jacobs, See by Chloé.
6.7 Accessories — Luxury
Chanel, Dior, Hermès, Gucci, Fendi, Cartier.
6.8 Accessories — Premium
Ray-Ban, Michael Kors, Tory Burch, Longchamp, Paul Smith.
6.9 Luxury Costume Jewellery
Cartier, Dior, Hermès, Gucci, Fendi, Chopard, Piaget, Chanel Joaillerie, Dior Joaillerie.
6.10 Jewellery and Watches — Luxury
Cartier, Bulgari, Tiffany & Co., Van Cleef & Arpels, Chopard, Piaget, Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Boucheron, Chaumet.
6.11 Jewellery and Watches — Premium
Pandora, Swarovski, Tous, Thomas Sabo, Links of London, Olivia Burton, Daniel Wellington.
Exceptions
If the seller owns an item from a brand not listed but which meets the same quality, condition and positioning standards, they must inform Mazzaroti. The item may be exceptionally accepted following internal evaluation.
Acceptance of any item is always subject to:
market demand;
consistency with Mazzaroti’s curation;
condition;
authenticity.
- Quality and Condition Criteria
Mazzaroti only accepts items in a condition compatible with luxury or premium resale. Condition quality is an essential and cumulative criterion alongside brand. All items must be free of odors, structural defects and must be perfectly clean.
Minimum acceptance criteria by category are as follows:
Clothing
Only new items with tags or like-new items without tags are accepted, with no odors, wear, defects, signs of use or alterations.
Footwear
Only new footwear, with or without tags, unused, unmodified, odor-free and in perfect clean condition.
Handbags
Handbags are accepted in the following conditions: new with tags, new without tags, very good, and only in exceptional and limited cases, good.
In “Good” condition, only selected luxury pieces, such as specific iconic models, are accepted. All handbags must be odor-free and perfectly clean.
Accessories
Only new accessories with tags, new without tags or in very good condition are accepted, odor-free and perfectly clean.
Luxury Costume Jewellery
Only new luxury costume jewellery with tags, new without tags or in very good condition is accepted, odor-free and perfectly clean.
Jewellery and Watches
Only new items with tags, new without tags or in very good condition are accepted, odor-free and in perfect condition.
Mazzaroti reserves the right to refuse any item that, even if from an accepted brand, does not fully comply with these quality and condition criteria.
CHAPTER V — AUTHENTICITY AND COMPLIANCE
- Authenticity
All items delivered to Mazzaroti must be 100% authentic.
If an item is deemed not authentic, the seller may:
pay €50, plus all shipping-related costs (handling, materials and carrier), calculated after address confirmation; or
authorize the donation of the item.
- Compliance
If the item does not match the description provided:
a price reduction may be proposed; or
the item may be returned upon payment of €20 + shipping costs.
CHAPTER VI — SPECIFIC CONDITIONS OF THE CONSIGN MODEL
- Consignment Duration
As a general rule: up to 4 months;
High-value or high-demand items: up to 6 months.
- Unsold Items
11.1 End of the period
Items will be returned to the owner or donated, according to instructions.
11.2 Early return
Before the end of the period, the owner bears:
shipping costs;
€20 per item, corresponding to management already carried out.
11.3 Return after the period
The owner bears only the shipping costs.
11.4 Continuation of sale
Subject to agreement between the parties, a price reduction may be applied.
- Progressive Discounts
During the consignment period, items may be subject to progressive discounts, applied gradually and in stages, with the aim of promoting stock rotation and increasing the likelihood of sale.
These discounts are applied with the owner’s knowledge and acceptance, taking into account:
the type of brand (premium, luxury or high-demand luxury);
the length of time the item has been on sale.
Discounts are adjusted throughout the consignment period and become more significant as the item approaches its maximum exposure limit.
- Payments to the Seller (Consign)
Payment up to 20 business days after the sale has been paid by the client;
38 business days when the sale occurs through a partner;
The amount paid corresponds to the agreed value, less Mazzaroti’s commission.
CHAPTER VII — SPECIFIC CONDITIONS OF THE OTHER MODELS
- Crédit+ — Rules of Use
The granted credit benefits from an increase of +15% if accepted within the first 7 days, or +10% if accepted from the 8th day up to a total period of 6 months;
The credit must be used in a single purchase;
If the purchase value is lower than the credit, the remaining amount is forfeited;
The credit is not divisible, transferable or convertible into cash.
- Cash Now
Immediate sale with direct payment, with no additional credit.
CHAPTER VIII — DOCUMENTATION AND FINAL PROVISIONS
- Contracts and Declarations
Contract signature for Consign;
Signature of a sale declaration prior to each payment.
- Final Provisions
Mazzaroti may update these terms;
Exceptions are valid only in writing;
Delivery of items implies full acceptance of these terms.
